As we come off of the summer months, you might be noticing that your skin is starting to slowly look a little duller, and that's because expoliation happens naturally in our skin, but with the cooler weather, it tends to slow down. So incorporating an exfoliant into your fall routine can be very helpful for making sure that skin cell turnover is happening regularly.
THE WEATHER IS CHANGING
Exfoliate For a Glow
As we come off of the summer months, you might be noticing that your skin is starting to slowly look a little duller, and that's because expoliation happens naturally in our skin, but with the cooler weather, it tends to slow down.
So incorporating an exfoliant into your fall routine can be very helpful for making sure that skin cell turnover is happening regularly.
I like to use a product like this a few nights a week, and I'll do it in the evenings to make sure that my skin has time to recover overnight.
You'll wake up noticing that your skin is looking smoother and brighter and less dull over time, especially as we enter these cold weather months.
Careful Not to Over-Exfoliate
Fall is the time of year where exfoliation starts to slow naturally on our bodies so one of the things you can do is start to incorporate and exfoliant just a few nights a week.
I'm not telling you to ruin your skin barrier and go wild. I'm saying a few nights a week, help your body naturally do this process by incorporating some sort of exfoliating acid. Another thing you could consider doing is switching out your intense cleanser for something a little gentler.
We want to be kinder to our skin as the weather cools down, and as the humidity in the air also changes. So keep these two things in mind as you're rotating through your skincare routine.
